What to ask when you call
Not sure what a good answer sounds like? See how to find a duck vet.
- Say it is a duck right away — their site doesn’t say they treat waterfowl, so ask whether anyone there does.
- Ask for the exam fee up front, and what bloodwork or X-rays add on top.
- Ask whether they are taking new avian patients.
- Ask where they send after-hours emergencies.
